President and Chief Executive Officer, FHLBank of Indianapolis

Brendan W. McGrath was appointed by the Board of Directors of FHLBank of Indianapolis to serve as President and Chief Executive Officer effective October 1, 2025. Prior to that appointment, Mr. McGrath served as Executive Vice President - Chief Risk and Compliance Officer at the FHLBank of Indianapolis since September 2024, after having previously served as Executive Vice President - Chief Risk Officer, effective January 2021. Previously, he served as Senior Vice President - Chief Risk Officer, effective May 2020, after having served as Senior Vice President - Chief Analytics Officer since January 2019. He has also held various other roles in Investments, Treasury Risk Analytics, and Enterprise Risk Management since joining the FHLBank of Indianapolis in 2000. As an FHLBank President, he serves on the Council of Federal Home Loan Banks and the Board of Directors of the Office of Finance. Mr. McGrath earned a Bachelor of Science in Finance and a Master of Science in Accounting, both from the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University. He is a CPA and a CFA® charterholder.
